Forest Experience Path

In Trassem, the forest experience trail around the reservoir offers the opportunity to immerse yourself in the forest and gather exciting experiences. At various points, brief information is provided on topics such as "Habitat Forest", "Mammals and Hunting", "Forest and Soil", to then send the visitor on a discovery journey. For children, there are interesting rotating and quiz boards, and plenty of fun with barefoot walking in the forest stream, a fantasy journey into the forest floor, or the search for wild animals. Insights into the world of forest insects and honey bees are guaranteed at the bee education station. Geocachers can also experience the forest experience trail through two official geocache treasure hunts (Learning Path Blue, Learning Path Red) using GPS devices.

Geocaching: Around the forest experience center, there are two geocaching paths that introduce both beginners (blue color code) and advanced users (red color code) to treasure hunting with GPS. The third cache, for very experienced geocachers (black color code), is not about finding the "treasure" but rather the journey through the multilayered, species-rich forest - a unique forest experience where "wonder" takes center stage. Info: The forest experience trail is approximately 4 km long and is divided into East and West courses. Starting point from the parking lot at the forest entrance to the Trassem forest experience center or at the sports field. Follow the snail symbol along the path!
