Moselsteig Trail

The Moselsteig Trail is one of the most popular panoramic hiking trails in Germany and has now been awarded the European hiking seal "Leading Quality Trail - Best of Europe" and the seal of approval of the German Hiking Association "Qualitätsweg Wanderbares Deutschland" for the third time. These awards stand for the highest quality and attractiveness of the hiking trail and are valid for the next three years.

The seals of approval are further confirmation of the high quality and attractiveness of the long-distance hiking trail. They ensure that the trail is well marked and well maintained, which in turn enables hikers to enjoy the landscape of the Moselle region to the full. In order to receive recertification as a quality trail, the Moselsteig Trail must meet certain criteria. These include good signage, consistent markings and a high quality of the trail infrastructure. The safety of hikers and the protection of nature also play an important role. The Moselsteig Trail already impressed in all of these areas when it was first certified in 2014 and has been able to continuously improve its quality ever since.
