Forest Experience Center

Under the "roof" of the Forest Experience Center, activities and experiences in the forests around Trassem are combined.

The innovative Forest Experience Path around the Trassem reservoir offers the opportunity to immerse oneself in the forest and gather exciting experiences. Informational highlights cover topics such as "Forest Habitat", "Mammals and Hunting", "Forest and Soil" in a concise manner, before sending visitors on a discovery journey. There are interesting rotating and quiz boards for children, and plenty of fun walking barefoot in the forest stream, taking a fantasy journey into the forest floor, or seeking out wild animals. Insights into the world of forest insects, especially honeybees, are guaranteed at the bee teaching stand.

The Forest Experience Path is approximately 4 km long and is divided into East and West courses. The starting point is at the parking lot at the forest entrance to the Forest Experience Center Trassem or at the sports field. Follow the snail symbol on the path!

Our Tip:

Around the Forest Experience Center, there are two geocaching paths that introduce both beginners (color code blue) and advanced users (color code red) to treasure hunting via GPS. The third cache, designed for very experienced geocachers (color code black), is not about the "treasure" as a destination, but the journey through the diverse, species-rich forest.
