The open wine cellar days in Nittel are a special event for wine lovers and all those who want to experience the charming atmosphere of this wine town.

Amidst the picturesque Moselle landscape, numerous wineries open their cellars and offer unique insights into the regional wine culture.
Visitors can expect a diverse journey of enjoyment: from characterful wines to local specialties, and lively live music. In a total of 13 wineries and additional stations/facilities in the town, the special atmosphere of Nittel can be experienced with all senses.

Free bus transfer between the stops Bahnhof Nittel, Panoramahütte, Köllig/Dorfplatz and Weingut Befort. (No bus transfer between 4:15 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. No bicycles and wagons allowed)

Welcome to Nittel on the Moselle at the Moselle winery and guest house Bernd Frieden! The Bernd Frieden Winery is located in one of the oldest wine-growing regions in the heart of Europe. The Bernd Frieden Winery combines the tradition of a winegrowing family on the Moselle with the most modern achievements in viticulture and cellar technology. The cultivation of wines at the Frieden estate has a long tradition. All vineyards are located within 5 kilometres of the estate.

The Apel family welcomes you! The family has lived in Nittel for centuries and has been involved in viticulture for just as long. Now the IV. Only time will tell what challenges the next generation will face.

Winery Befort

Nittel

The Befort winery has been a family winery for generations. After all, a winery cannot be run without the whole family. In 2011, the Befort siblings took over the winery from their parents. Based on the solid foundation laid by parents Hans and Maria Befort, the winery has been continuously expanded over the past 8 years. The wines are grown in the vineyards on the southern Moselle. The Befort winery has its own, old classic sparkling wine production - Elbling-Pinot Noir, Rosé Crémant.

Winery Peter Hein

The farm with its land was originally a monastery of the St Irminen monastery in Trier. Its eventful history goes back to the time of Napoleon. The keystone of the barn, which was built in 1807, bears witness to the expansion and was preserved even after the remodelling in 1956. The business is now run by the sixth generation of the family. Peter Leo Hein successfully completed the master farmer's examination before his apprenticeship as a winemaker and subsequent master winemaker.
