Author reading with Frank P. Meyer
3. December 2026
When rewilded desk stallions meet at a Lyoner tasting and even the apocalypse becomes a topic, Frank P. Meyer is not far away! With a sharp pen, dry humor, and a fine sense for the curiosities of everyday life, the self-proclaimed Nordsaarländer makes his audience smile and laugh.
After “Zwangsgeranisierung” and “Lost in Trier,” his collection of columns “Okay, Boomer” was published in 2023 by Conte Verlag. Most recently, his novel "Zweieinhalb Kilometer" was released in 2025. During his reading, Meyer presents an entertaining mix of columns and short stories – full of quirky observations, surprising punchlines, and lovable everyday adventures.
Look forward to a humorous reading evening that shows: Life writes the best stories – you just have to be able to tell them!
Frank P. Meyer was the city writer of Trier (2012) and until 2025 was the head of academic advising at the University of Trier. He received the Saar-Hunsrück Literature Prize in 2014 and the prestigious "Grimmelshausen Literature Prize" in 2023 for his novel "Vom Ende der Bundeskegelbahn." Meyer studied English, German, and Dutch philology in Trier and Oxford.
