10 years - Festival of Nations

The Initiative for Homeland and Culture Wincheringen e.V. invites you to the Festival of Nations in the village center.
Visitors can expect a culinary journey around the world.

Stalls from 14 nations (Algeria, Belgium, Brazil, Indonesia, Luxembourg, Peru, Poland, Russia, Scotland, South Africa, Ukraine, Kenya, India, Cameroon) will offer specialties from their countries. There will be a anniversary workshop for children and a bouncy castle.

The program will be complemented by musical entertainment:
2:00 p.m. Moselland Band Wincheringen.
4:00 p.m. ON STAGE STUDIO. Children's dance ensemble with Sina Philipps.
6:00 p.m. Pub singing with Rolf and Bernd.

The medieval round and fortified tower in the centre of Wincheringen is a striking landmark of the village. Curiously enough, it carries the bells of the village church, which has no tower.

Hermann Schneider Winery

In addition to delicious wines, the winery also offers sparkling wines and brandies, all of which are produced on the estate itself. This means from the care of the plant to the harvest, bottling and marketing on the bottle. The wines of Weingut Schneider are characterised by the shell limestone soils of the Upper Moselle. Geologically, the soils were formed as foothills of the Paris Basin.

Passion becomes tradition - The small family business in its 4th generation combines tradition and modernity. The focus is on Elbling, the oldest grape variety in Germany. With only half a per cent of the area under cultivation in Germany, the winery has been upholding this tradition for over 100 years.
