Wiltingen

The Wiltinger Saarbogen is the only section of the Lower Saar that is still largely in its natural state and has been designated as a nature reserve because of its extraordinary importance for the protection of species and biotopes.

Wiltingen

The church dominates the townscape and the narrow valley landscape and is popularly known as the Saar Cathedral. Built in 1909/10 in late Gothic style, the church stands on part of the Roman villa, the remains of which were excavated when the previous church was demolished.

Viewpoint Galgenberg

Wiltingen

Fantastic view from Schoden over Wiltingen and Kanzem, to the narrow curves of the Konzer Kupp and all the way to Konz. The view down over the extreme steep slopes of the Wiltinger Hölle vineyard and deep into the Saar valley is dizzying.

Signposting: from the centre of Konz-Kommlingen, follow the signs to Galgenberg.

3-Sculpture view

Wiltingen

From the 3-sculpture view you have a dreamlike view over the Saar valley near Schoden and Wiltingen. In the distance you can see the "Mercury" on the Goldberg in Wawern, the "Fire Jump" on the banks of the Saar in Wiltingen and the sculpture "Pasaggio Animato" on the Galgenberg in Wiltingen.
