Konz

The church was built in 1896/97 in neo-Gothic style. The four-storey tower with pyramidal spire and the vestibule ﬂank the cross-vaulted choir. choir. The interior was redesigned and refurnished during the renovation in 1966.

Parish Church of St.Laurentius

Saarburg

A small cross chapel existed here as early as the 13th century, which was granted the right of baptism in 1370. Following several reconstructions, a new church was built in 1854, in the neo-Gothic style. The three-nave church was heavily damaged in 1944 and was rebuilt simplistically after the war; during this process, parts of the neo-Gothic style could be preserved. The interior of the church impresses with the “Grape Madonna” (around 1500), the baptismal font of stone (1575) as well as the stained-glass windows (1855).

Saarburg

The Protestant Church beneath the castle is a distinctive feature of the city-scape. In 1893, the church was erected in the neo-Gothic style using yellow red sandstone.

Church of St. Nicholas

Konz

The church of St Nicholas was built according to the plans of the Swiss architect Hermann Baur. The basic form corresponds to the idea of the "tent of God among men". The altarpieces in the church and crypt, designed by the artist Prof. Georg Meistermann, are among the most important works of modern church painting.
