Bat excursion
5. September 2026
The Saar-Hunsrück Nature Park and the nature park local community of Kanzem invite families and children to a joint
bat observation at dusk.
With nature park consultant Anne Hilker, children and adults will explore the fascinating world of bats together. Families, adults, and children will learn in a playful and illustrative way which bat species live in our region, where their habitats are located, how they navigate, and why they are of great importance for a healthy ecosystem and the preservation of biodiversity in the
nature park.
With a bit of luck, the nocturnal flying artists can be observed in their flights. With the help of bat detectors, their calls, which are otherwise inaudible to humans, will be made audible and the mysterious night flyers will be experienced in an exciting way.
The excursion offers families and adults a diverse insight into the life of these special mammals and their nocturnal flights in search of insects.
Price: 7.00 €/children, 12.00 €/reduced, 15.00 €/adults, and 22.00 €/families.
