Moselsteig side jump Wehrer Rosenberg
Konz
The hiking trail from the Roscheider Hof Open-Air Museum leads through the district of Roscheid and further along a narrow, rustic forest path, which is also called Wurzelweg (root path) due to its many roots (caution when wet: slippery!). Through the valley of the stream, it continues to the vineyards of Niedermennig with stunning views into the Konzer Tälchen, which was once a meander valley of the Moselle over four million years ago. Continuing through forest areas, vineyards, and open meadows, the Roscheider Plateau is reached. From there, there is an impressive panoramic view over Trier all the way to Luxembourg.
Extraordinary experiences with dreamy views are provided along the way by the imposing giant chair located in the middle of the vineyards and the sky swing, where one can relax and swing. The large landscape frame draws the gaze to the confluence of the Saar and Moselle and offers a beautiful backdrop for the final photo stop.
