Sarah Lesch - Singer Songwriter Festival

21. May 2027

SARAH LESCH is one of the most important voices in the new German singer-songwriter scene. Her songs are lyrical, subtle, and at the same time uncompromising in their message - they entertain and take a stance at the same time. With guitar, ukulele, and powerful stories in tow, she embarks on a Poetry & Resistance tour. The audience can expect a mix of intimate folk ballads, poetic protest, and smart social analysis - relatable, captivating, and full of goosebumps moments.

With seven albums and numerous awards, SARAH LESCH shapes the German-speaking singer-songwriter scene. Her songs tackle the grand in the small, address current issues, and leave nothing unsaid. For her, the boundaries between entertainment and stance dissolve – nothing is trivial, everything has weight. Rarely are the socio-political issues of our day articulated so comprehensively as in her lyrics.

“In my music, I can be everything I am. Without false shame and rotten compromises. Here I am wild and angry and loving and vulnerable, and here I can completely give myself to the moment and those who share these songs with me – who feel the same as I do and meet me in my world. There, where we recognize each other,” SARAH LESCH looks forward to her upcoming tour.

When SARAH LESCH packs her ukulele and guitar along with powerful and touching stories into the tour suitcase, the audience is guaranteed to get their money's worth. On stage, she unites folk, punk, and profound storytelling. There’s something for everyone. Whether intimate, ballad-like folk gems, smart analyses of contemporary developments, or political recommendations for action - SARAH LESCH's great strength lies in the stylistic range and intimacy that she effortlessly creates. Approachable and captivating, with a lot of goosebumps factor, featuring new and old songs!

With her song “Testament,” she reached a million audience. Her lyrics compellingly address socio-political issues, and her social media channels are catalysts for important discourses. This unmistakable blend of clear language and poetry is also reflected in her new program.
