Ice skating rink
28. December 2026
From November 29, 2026 to January 3, 2027, the fruit market will transform into a zone for the whole family. The centerpiece will be a new, mobile, and synthetic ice rink that offers skating fun for everyone.
The use of the ice rink is free for all visitors. The skate rental will be implemented on-site using a deposit system. To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all skaters, the skating time will be limited during peak hours and regulated by colored wristbands. In a Christmas market hut, Station K will offer festive beverages and snacks.
The fruit market provides a beautiful backdrop for the combination of Advent lights and sporting enjoyment. The ice rink is also harmoniously integrated into the Saarburg Christkindlmarkt, which will take place from December 4 - 6 and 11 - 13 at the waterfall. Visitors can combine ice skating with a stroll through the market or shops and enjoy the special lighting in the city center.
Expected opening hours of the ice rink:
Weekdays: 3 – 8 p.m.
Saturdays & Sundays: 11 a.m. – 8 p.m.
