Wine hiking in Wehr

Enjoy wine, regional specialties, and the beautiful landscape of the Upper Mosel:

The Heimat and Cultural Association Wehr/Mosel e. V. and the Supporters' Association Volunteer Fire Brigade Wehr (Mosel) e. V. invite you to a wine hike in Wehr.

It starts between 1:30 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. at Wehr (Mosel) train station.
From there, you will walk at your own pace over selected sections of the Moselsteig side trip "Wehrer Rosenberg" through the vineyards around Wehr.
A special highlight are the five stations along the route. Local winemakers will present two selected wines at each station. Overall, participants can get to know and enjoy ten wines from Wehr.

Along the way, there will also be a stop with regional delicacies – including vegetarian options.
The destination of the hike is the pavilion on the Rosenberg.
There, from 3:00 p.m., stalls with food and drinks will open for a cozy gathering.
Guests who do not participate in the hike are also warmly welcome at the pavilion.

The participation fee is €30.00 and includes a glass, ten wines, and a meal.
Sturdy footwear is recommended; participation is at your own risk.

The winery is located in the middle of the Carlsfelsen vineyard in Palzem. With great passion, the winemakers Armand and Fabian Frank create youthful, vibrant wines full of minerality. Katharina, the daughter of the family, is responsible for all organizational matters and completes the family winery. The Carlsfelsen winery was established in 1959 and is now run by father and son in the second and third generations.

Family is when everyone pitches in. This is especially true when the passion of an entire family is devoted to wine. For over three decades, everything on the estate in Palzem, Rhineland-Palatinate, has revolved around the grape. The division of labor is (almost) always clearly defined: Alois Boesen and son Markus take care of the wine from vine care to bottling, while Silvia Boesen looks after the well-being of the guests in the wine tavern, wine bar, and holiday apartments.
