Opening concert of the instructors - Chamber music at its finest.
A feast for the senses with chamber music and wine

The professors of the academy Denise Benda (piano), Elisabeth Perry (violin), Richard Wolfe (viola), and Niall Brown (cello and artistic director of the festival) will showcase their musical talents for the audience.

String Trio in B major D.471 for violin, viola, and cello.

Ludwig van Beethoven (1770–1827):
Piano Quartet in E-flat major Op.16 for piano, violin, viola, and cello.

Johannes Brahms (1833–1897):
Piano Quartet in C minor Op.60 for piano, violin, viola, and cello.

The market square is the centre of the town. A striking feature is the large fountain made of polished granite, whose lively water movement varies in many different ways. The fountain has the function of a water feature and invites visitors to cool off on sunny days. The Constantine base is a replica and was produced on the occasion of the Constantine exhibition in Trier in 2007. The original is in the Capitoline Museum in Rome. A fruit and vegetable market is held on the market square on Saturdays.
