Mouth of the Saar in Konz

Konz, near the river Saar and Mosel

The Saar rises in the 1009m-high Mount Donon in France and after 280 km flows into the Moselle in Konz. The artwork at the mouth of the Saar is a stone which balances itself due to its basic triangular shape. The recessed silhouette facing the mouth of the river makes it possible to sit or stand in the stone. Inside the stone it is quieter and the noise of the water is amplified.
