Onsdorf (population 136)
This small town is located in a hollow in the north-western part of the Saargau. Although there are vineyards to be found here, the landscape is of greater importance. Lying east above the district, over the so-called “Kimm”, the Roman road leads from Trier to Metz. Today it is signposted as the long-distance hiking trail G11. Other traces of settlement in the area point back to the Roman period. The Roman altar is particularly worth seeing; it can be viewed in the parish church.
Roman altar in the church, diversified circular walking routes, located at the Road to Santiago, parish fair on the first week end in August.
